Custom Victorian Cottage Door
Sometimes clients come in and need to match an existing item as exactly as possible. This client’s front door was destroyed when a contractor had the paint removed improperly. Being that the house sat on one of the historic, Oak tree lined main streets here in New Orleans; and combined with the fact that the door was an odd size; this door could not be replaced with something off of the shelf. We created this beauty using the client’s original Leaded Glass insert- which had to be completely rebuilt- Brazilian Mahogany, and antique cypress for the applique.
