  • Brass Casement Sash Latch

    Brass Casement Sash Latch comes with the latch, and three different keepers (one meant for use with a pair of casements which is surface mount and two meant for use with a single casement which mortises into the jamb).

    The latch's back plate measures 2-1/16" tall, 1-5/16" wide and projects 2" from the surface of the window. The surface mount keeper measures 2" tall, 9/16" wide and projects 7/8" from the surface of the window. The first mortised keeper measures 2-1/8" tall, a total of 1-3/4" deep, and mortises 1" x 1/8" into the jamb and the second mortised keeper measures 5/8" x 2-3/8" x 1/16".

    Brass Casement Stay is made to secure casement windows in either a closed or open position. The Maximum throw is 10-1/2". These are meant for use in an outswing application only.

  • Brass Embossed Sash Lock

    Brass Embossed Sash Lock can be used either with casement or double hung windows. With double hung sashes the moving part of the latch would mount to the bottom sash and the keeper would mount to the top sash.  The back plate of the keeper measures 2-3/8" x 7/8" and is a total of 3/4" tall. The back plate of the moving part of the latch measures 2-3/8" x 1-1/8". The arm measures 3-1/4" x 1".

    Brass Knuckle Sash Lock

    Brass Knuckle Sash Lock is meant for use with double hung windows. The lock comes with two pieces, the latching part, and the receiver which gets overlapped. These were found on most double hung sashes in New Orleans that predated the 1910's. The base of the latching part measures 1-7/8" x 13/16". The base of the receiver measures 1-7/8" x  3/4". It is made of solid brass.

    Brass Pivot Hinge for Transoms

    Brass pivot hinge for transoms include one hinge- the pin side and the receiver side. You will need to order two in order to do one sash. These are solid Brass with a lacquered finish.

    The pin side has the following measurements:

    Center to center of screw hole 1-1/8″

    Face of Hinge -2-3/8″ tall, 1″ wide, and mortises 1/8″ into the face of the transom.

    Side of hinge- 3/4″ tall, 1- 1/16″ wide, 3/16″ thick, center of pin to edge 7/8″, pin diameter 7/16″, pin length 15/16″

    The receiver side has the following measurements:

    Center to center of screw hole 1-1/4″

    Diameter of center hole 3/8″

    Brass Transom Latch

    Brass Transom Latch can be used in conjunction with pivoting transom hinges and would mount on the bottom rail of the transom, with the strike plate being mortised to the bottom of the transom's jamb. The latch is operated by pulling up on the loop at the top. (one of our clients suggests mounting a hook to the top of a broom stick to avoid getting on a stool.) The latch measures 2-1/8" wide, 1-1/4" tall, and 5/8" deep (with the loop standing 1-3/8" deep). The strike plate measures 1-3/4" wide, 1-1/2" deep, and mortises 1-3/4" x 3/4"x 3/16" into the jamb. It is made out of solid brass.

    Embossed Kick Bolts

    Embossed kick bolts- available in two sizes and two finishes

    The embossed kick bolts in the brass finish are made from solid, cast brass. The embossed kick bolts in the powder coated black are made from cast iron. These embossed kick bolts are designed to go at the bottom of the stationary door, shutter, or window when there are pairs of doors, shutters, or windows.  We highly recommend you use these with a chain bolt (or top bolt) to prevent warping of your door.

    The small bolts have the following measurements:

      The bolt body measures 1-7/8 ” wide and 5-1/16″ tall, the tongue sticks out 1/2″ from the body of the latch when activated. The bolt is designed to be operated with your foot, the large button at the top activates it and the small button on the face deactivates it. The bolt comes with two strike plates- one measuring 1-7/8″wide and 2-3/8″ deep, and one measuring 2″ wide and 7/8″ deep.

  • Iron Window Y

    Iron Window Y's are used when the sash no longer stays up on it's own due to damaged or missing sash weights and balances. They mount to the jamb at about the level you want your window open and with a loose screw will pivot in or out of the way of the sash. The bottom of the sash is held up by the v shaped section, with the short end facing the exterior of the home.

    The Y measures 2-5/8" long, 2" at it's widest point, and 1/4" thick. It is made of cast iron and painted white.

    Traditional Brass Sash Lock is meant for use with double hung style windows.  The base of the latch measures 2-5/8" x 7/8" and the base of the keeper measures 2-1/2" x 5/8".
