Large Plain Oval Foundation Vent is made of cast aluminum and sold unfinished. It can be primed and painted with exterior primer and paint. These are traditionally set into the foundation using cement as a binder. The rear measurement is 14″ wide and 8-1/4″ tall. The front measurement is 18-1/4″ wide and 12-3/8″ tall. The vent recesses into the foundation 3-3/8″ deep.
16 Inch Iron Head Bolt is most often used on a double door application and secures the stationary door at the top, it is highly recommended for use with a foot bolt (or bottom bolt) to prevent warping. The bolt measures 16-3/4″ tall and the rear plate measures 1-7/8″ wide by 6″ tall. The bolt tongue measures 3/4″ when activated, and is 5/8″ wide. The bolt comes with two different keepers, one used when the door is flush with it’s casing, and one used when the door is set deeper into its casing. It also comes with one stay used to keep the arm from being pulled from the surface of the door. It is important to note that in order to operate the bolt properly it must only be pulled up or down, never forward away from the surface of the door (this action would put stress on the weld that attaches the arm to the bolt).
9 Light marginal doors- Available in both 6'8" and 8'0" heights. These doors are made of Mahogany and feature beveled, tempered glass. These are sold as slabs only and do not come prehung. Solid Brass Ball Bearing Hinges - steeple finial in multiple sizes
These hinges are made from solid brass, polished to a high shine and lacquered to prevent immediate tarnishing. The ball bearing helps to prevent the solid brass hinge from wearing down when used on heavier doors. They are sold as pairs (two hinges per package) and come with screws.
Two sizes are available, 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" and 4"x 4". Both sizes feature five knuckles with two ball bearings. 3-1/2" hinges have three screw holes per side, while 4" hinges have four.

Brass Embossed Sash Lock can be used either with casement or double hung windows. With double hung sashes the moving part of the latch would mount to the bottom sash and the keeper would mount to the top sash. The back plate of the keeper measures 2-3/8" x 7/8" and is a total of 3/4" tall. The back plate of the moving part of the latch measures 2-3/8" x 1-1/8". The arm measures 3-1/4" x 1".
Iron Transom Latch can be used in conjunction with pivoting transom hinges and would mount on the bottom rail of the transom, with the strike plate being mortised to the bottom of the transom's jamb. The latch is operated by pulling up on the loop at the top. (one of our clients suggests mounting a hook to the top of a broom stick to avoid getting on a stool.) The latch measures 2-1/8" wide, 1-1/4" tall, and 5/8" deep (with the loop standing 1-3/8" deep). The strike plate measures 1-3/4" wide, 1-1/2" deep, and mortises 1-3/4" x 3/4"x 3/16" into the jamb. It is made out of cast iron and painted black.
Iron Parliament Hinge with Five and Three Quarter Inch Offset measures a total of 7-7/8″ wide and 2-7/8″ tall. It mortises into the door or jamb 1-1/16″ x 2-7/8″ and has a throw of 5-3/4″ when open. The pin on the hinge is removable making it function as either a right or left hand swing.
Medium Brass Door Bolts can be used for interior doors that require a locking function (ex. bathrooms or bedrooms) where the door is flush with the casing. This bolt measures 4-1/2″ long and 1-1/4″ wide, stands 1-1/2″ tall from the surface of the door, and throws 1-1/4″. The keeper measures 1-1/4″ long and 1-1/2″ tall.
Brass Flush Bolt is used with double door sets on the stationary panel and mortises into the margin of the door at the top and bottom of the door. Two bolts would be needed to properly hold the door in place and prevent warping. These specific bolts are used when you do not want to see hardware when your doors are closed, achieving a cleaner, more modern look. the bolt measures 3/4" wide, 8" tall and 1-3/8" deep. Each bolt comes with a strike plate measuring 3/4"deep and 1-3/8" wide.
The iron Victorian pull handle is made of cast iron and powder coated in a black finish. The back plate measures 18" x 3-1/2" at the tallest and widest points (3" wide at the narrowest point). the pull handle itself is 13-1/2" from tip of finial to tip of finial and projects 3-3/8" from the surface of the door. Iron Knuckle Sash Lock is meant for use with double hung windows. The lock comes with two pieces, the latching part, and the receiver which gets overlapped. These were found on most double hung sashes in New Orleans that predated the 1910's. The base of the latching part measures 1-7/8" x 13/16". The base of the receiver measures 1-7/8" x 3/4". Antique Stewart Iron Works Wrought Iron Gate
This gate, manufactured in Cincinnati, Ohio by the Stewart Ironworks Company, measures 37" wide with the mounting hardware and primitive latch, or 31-1/2" wide as just the gate. It measures 52" tall at the center, and 42" tall at the sides. It needs a weld at the bottom right corner, the top finial is slightly bent, and may need some bondo work at the top left, but is otherwise in great shape for its age. There is a great makers plaque at the center, pictured in the gallery of images. The primitive latch is still functioning. The gate comes with the portion of the hinge that bolts to your fence post and the rod that attaches your gate to the hinge. The iron details on this gate are exquisite. Our 3 foot gate is made from flat steel, hollow steel, and cast iron components. The gate comes with two hollow steel posts, with lift off style hinges included. With each gate you get to choose your finial style- either the spear finial (which matches our loop and spear fencing), or the Fleur de Lis finial. An image of each finial can be seen in the image gallery above. We do not always have these in stock, but we would be happy to order either style for you. Number 16 summerfront comes in two pieces, the frame and the insert.
