8 Inch Iron Foot Bolt is most often used on a double door application and secures the stationary door at the bottom, it is highly recommended for use with a head bolt (or top bolt) to prevent warping. The bolt measures 9-1/4″ tall and the rear plate measures 1-7/8″ wide by 5-1/2″ tall. The bolt tongue measures 1-1/16″ when activated, and is 3/4″ wide. The bolt comes with two different keepers, one used when the threshold extends well past the door and can be mortised into, and one used when the threshold does not extend much past the door. It is important to note that in order to operate the bolt properly it must only be pulled up or down with your hand, never forward away from the surface of the door, or operated with your foot (this action would put stress on the weld that attaches the arm to the bolt).

Brass Embossed Sash Lock can be used either with casement or double hung windows. With double hung sashes the moving part of the latch would mount to the bottom sash and the keeper would mount to the top sash. The bottom of the sash is held up by the v shaped section, with the short end facing the exterior of the home.
The Y measures 2-5/8" long, 2" at it's widest point, and 1/4" thick. It is made of cast iron and painted white.
